Summary
I live and work on an estate where there is a lot of Anti-Social Behavior from N.E.E.T young men. As I work with many of these young men, I know what they are interested in and what they wish to go into for careers etc. Most of them wish to become mechanics but have no qualifications to get them into college. I wish to rent a garage, a little too far away for the young men to get to without a minibus (as a precaution to the car being stolen), buy a cheap car that is 'on the way out' and involve a fully qualified mechanic (whom has already agreed) to help deliver sessions on mechanics. When the car is fixed up, sell it. The lads have gained a qualification and the after a few cycles, the project should be able to maintain itself using the money from each car sale.

...launch a magazine to inspire teenagers to follow dreams and become creative talents. As a teenager, my magazine choices were limited to Bliss or Sugar; each advising how to deal with a "boy crush"or how to style hair like Cheryl Cole. That's not what I wanted to know. I wanted to learn how to play the drums, find out why Marilyn Monroe was considered an icon, understand photography and discover where I can meet similar minded people. This magazine will be targetting those who are interested in alternative hobbies and enjoy activities not considered the mainstream.

I want to create a garden using wildflowers- to inspire people to look closely at native plants, appreciate them, grow them. We’d take our garden to a big flower show – BBC Gardeners’ World Live at the NEC, where it could be seen by 100,000 visitors and potentially millions of TV viewers. We’d grow plants for the garden ourselves and get the community involved in growing them too.
After the show, we’d plant the garden in a permanent site in a community garden to be enjoyed for years to come - a great place for young people to learn or relax.

My big idea to tackle the Big Challenge is to re-open up old derelict buildings near my area/islington (mostly found behind the Archway station and to turn them into Performing arts schools to reach out to children who instead of roaming the streets can put all their time into performing and making something of themselves – this will benefit children who partake these classes and performances and the community who naturally will come and support these children. This will help bring the community together and may even lower crime as plays may be based around anti-crime.

My project idea is to train young people on how they can set up their social enterprise. This project is targeted at young people that are unemployed and are not in formal education and are between the ages of 16-21. This project will consist of a 2 day training programme for volunteers and a 5 day social enterprise training session for the young beneficiaries. I intend to recruit 7 young volunteers and 20 young people who will benefit from the training sessions. The social enterprise training session will be facilitated by some of the young volunteers and they will be supported by a social enterprise trainer. The other volunteers will be involved in the planning, and delivery of the project. They will help out with administration, leaflet distribution, monitoring and evaluation etc.

To bring body and self confidence back to the youth of today, with the internet becoming more powerful than ever it is all too easy for people to rely on it as a means of communication to the outside world and even create a second profile and image resulting in self rejection. I want to gather a team of volunteers and do a series of photoshoots with young individuals communicating through a photograph of themselves that would be exhibited and act as an expression and inspiration for the young and provide an insight and better understanding for the older generation

Summary
to inspire other young people and students to provide solutions to improving our education system. Young people themselves hold the answers to resolving the UK’s education crisis.
We (group of 15-26 yr olds) want to create a web forum to collate ideas from young people across the country, run workshops to engage young people to get them to think analytically about their educational experience and finally to create a documentary to share the ideas we uncover with a broad audience, to hopefully engender change. Summary
I intend to carry out a series of Young Enterprise workshops in my local area. These will be open to young people between the ages of 16 and 21 who have a learning disability.
The workshops will centre around a Young Enterprise theme, in which service users will produce some type of product, (e.g. baking cakes or taking part in arts and crafts) and these will then be sold on to the local community. Each workshop will be made up of two sessions, the first session will include making the product and the second the selling of the products.
We will also provide ongoing support for individuals wishing to apply for work, in terms of the interview process and the filling out of complicated application forms.
I intend to recruit a number of young volunteers who do not have disabilites to help me run and manage the project, therefore inspiring both young people who live with a disability and those who do not, to contribute to the development of the community.

I want to expose the harrowing secret world that exists behind closed doors, & raise awareness about sex trafficking through theatre and performance. I will turn a house into a representation of a brothel, and include volunteer actors/actresses to tell the stories of real people that have been trafficked into this Country and held against their will. This is based on a performance like this that I have already directed for my studies, which has encouraged me to develop this further and produce this for public viewing. My idea is to guide the audience around the house, and make an ‘interactive’ piece, which will help people to understand the nature of trafficking and that it can be stopped.

We are holding a catwalk modeling competition with a multicultural set of young aspiring models. Young models from an ethnic minority will get a chance to show they are as versatile on the runway as their other female model counterparts. Contestants will get huge recognition; winners will get contracts to successful modeling agencies and model for London Fashion Week.

to empower young people through oratory storytelling combined with film. Speaking and listening is used everyday by everyone so why shouldn't we celebrate it and empower the adults of tomorrow by training and engaging them in an art form that celebrates diversity, promotes ambition and creates excitement. Storytelling allows everyone to travel the world and to paint the insides of the countries imagination and with a story for any moral and the use of film to strengthen and spread the message; this is a project made to inspire people to achieve their dreams and to anything is possible.

Our idea is to inspire young people by involving them in our very creative project. We want to have an outdoor broadcasting set that we can take around to young people's events and in the community where we can highlight talent, talk about issues affecting young people 16 - 25 and run surgery type programmes and then upload these as Podcast on our website which we'll set up. It will be a chance to prove young people play a vital role in the community and do so much to make life better in St Austell.

'More Mascots Please' which includes my special creation ‘Mintie’ will hopefully have national reach and be recognisable for representing the qualities of ‘courage, commitment and challenges’. I would like to use mascots as a fundraising tool to go into schools and hospices to support children.
I have had contact with mascots such as Bearemy and Pudsey and feel that they are great tools to get people together. However, I had limited control over other people’s mascots and will develop my own so I can use it to go into hospitals to entertain young people who are going through difficult times.

My big idea to tackle the Big Challenge is to host an event called “R U Ready 2 Dance” This will be open to the ages of 16 - 25 year olds from our local community. We will be welcoming dancers, singers, actors, poets along with providing dance classes and work shops to the build up of the show. From this inventive show we hope to encourage more young people to unit together and become one. This is to prevent the bad social aspects we have in today’s society.
