Contemporary Temporary is an Arts Regeneration Enterprise co-directed by Bobby Goulding and Luke Norton. They are committed to improving and enriching the city of Nottingham, where they live and work.

As an organisation, Contemporary Temporary works to transform and invigorate the increasing areas of deadspace that exist in Nottingham into exciting, functional and beautiful places. Contemporary Temporary hosts cultural events, artists’ talks, educational workshops and exhibitions in disused shop-fronts and properties. We also showcase and sell the work of young, talented designers. We are strong believers that creating a productive, proactive, environment is a vital part of urban regeneration - that a place with a purpose; whether fleeting or permanent, great or small; is infinitely better than yet another boarded-up shop front.

Contemporary Temporary aims to illuminate the commercial, creative and social potential of the city and its inhabitants. We are dedicated to building an accessible, street-level platform for talented artists and designers. We support talent and encourage ambition. We are committed to strengthening and broadening a vibrant network of individuals and organisations; enabling communities, councils, artists and businesses to achieve more together. This depends on imaginative citizens who feel empowered and able to fulfill their potential - people who feel connected to the city they live in. Contemporary Temporary promotes increased individual involvement with the city we know, love and call home.
