Summary

I want to bring people of all ages, young and old, from different backgrounds together and take part in a 'pub'-style quiz with a twist! This is not a normal pub quiz...because it’s not going to take place in a pub! It will be held in a neutral location and the questions will be focused on issues around faith, youth culture, current affairs blended with a range of questions based on popular culture.

I consider it to be a great idea to bring people together from the community to discuss and explore issues that matter to them. To increase knowledge of each views and beliefs and hopefully lead to greater understanding:so we can all live in a more peaceful society.

I think it is a fantastic idea, anything that brings different groups together for a open and healthy discussion can only be group. I hope this project is successful in securing the funding.

the concept is good as it would be inclusive (i.e. not being in a pub) and allow attendees to really focus on matters that are important to them.

As Assistant Principal at The South Leeds Academy (Community) I fully support Fahad's application. this is something which would benefit many of our young people and encourage them to mix and get to know each other better.

Great idea - we need to encourage participation in events which include all ages, cultures and religions but in a fun, inclusive and non threatening way!

I think this sounds like a fantastic idea and lots of fun too. There should be more things like this going on to help us engage in discussion in a informal setting. Keep up the good work Hamara!

LMYF is an excellent platform for young British Muslims to voice their opinions, engage in useful projects and enhance their ability to connect and network with communities at both a local and national level. The work they do should receive as much support as possible; there are not enough young people-led initiatives in the UK and lack of funding should not be inhibiting their development.

21-Oct-2009 11.26PM   Rahid Ahmed Says...

That sounds fantastic...promotes community cohesion...
